Kevin Hamilton - Founder & COO
Kevin, with his background in the oil and gas industry, has an in-depth understanding of distillation processes, having spent over ten years in the sector. This experience instilled in him a deep respect for safety, precision and engineering acumen - qualities that he carries into the world of craft spirits.
Kevin's interest in alcohol production blossomed after he moved to Australia and witnessed the whisky and gin boom firsthand. A pivotal trip to Kyushu, Japan in 2023 ignited his fascination with Shochu, leading him to delve deeper into its rich history, intricate production methods, and its diverse range of ingredients.
His deep-rooted passion for whisky and spirits, particularly Shochu, has driven him to pursue formal training and he has since completed several courses of training in distilling, including at the Institute of Brewing and Distilling and The Distillers Institute.
Kevin is committed to using his technical expertise to produce high-quality spirits for Tano that honour the traditions of Asian distilling.
Fletcher Anderson - Founder & Head Distiller
Fletch brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Tano Spirits.
His background is diverse, extending across both the business world and the and creative sector, with over two decades of experience working with major corporations across the globe as a Lead in Digital Business Analysis and AI/Digital Capability.
This experience has equipped him with a strong understanding of business strategy, project management, and agile methodologies. He has successfully applied this expertise in creative industries, as the Director of the eponymous Australian online arts magazine, Invurt, and as co-founder of Australia's first artist-focused designer toy store - This Is Not a Toy Store.
As a globally recognised street artist himself, painting under the pseudonym of "Facter", Fletch brings his vibrant creativity to Tano Spirits - his artistic vision has helped shape our brand's identity and drives our innovation in product development.
Fletchers passion for Japanese spirits and fermented beverages, sparked over 30 years ago, has led him down the research and development rabbit hole of traditional Asian spirits for over a decade, and has expert knowledge of the history and production techniques of various traditional Asian beverages.

Aaron, known in the electronic music world as Aaron Static, is a Melbourne-based DJ and producer who has been a fixture in the Australian electronic scene for over two decades. His albums have gained global recognition through major YouTube channels like MrSuicideSheep, and his music has amassed millions of plays across streaming platforms. Beyond music, Aaron is also an accomplished developer, building apps and tools at the intersection of music and technology.
At Tano, Aaron brings this technical expertise to the digital side of the business, managing the website, automation, and all things tech. His background in both creative and technical fields gives him a unique perspective on building and scaling a brand in the modern spirits landscape.
A long-time spirits enthusiast with a deep appreciation for whisky and gin, Aaron's introduction to shochu through Tano's head distiller Fletcher has opened up a whole new world of flavour and tradition. He's since become a passionate advocate for the spirit and is committed to helping share it with a wider Australian audience.
