For almost three decades Australian street artist Facter has created a world of fantastical creatures inhabiting a far future, post-singularity apocalyptic realm called "The Known". These creatures, known as Irikanji, are the result of years of creating illustrations and sharing them as colourful murals on the walls of cities across the world, or as the many designer toys he has created.
Transforming his street art and illustrations into hand made sculpted beings or colour laden murals, the Irikanji are physical manifestations of the many inhabitants that reside within his imagination.
Outside of his Lead Business Analyst technology based day job, Facter is the founder of Invurt magazine, Australia's longest running online street art magazine, and has also lead the way in championing local designer toys as the founder of the (in)famous Melbourne based This is Not a Toy Store. His current journey of creativity is taking him to a whole new world as both a founding director and head distiller of Melbourne's first Shochu, Awamori and Soju distillery - Tano Spirits - oh, looks like you're looking at his current projects website right now! :D
