Heesco

Heesco is an Melbourne based artist whose the resume just keeps going the longer you look at it. Born in Ulaanbaatar in 1979, he arrived in Australia in 1999, graduated from Sydney College of the Arts in 2005, and has been Melbourne-based since 2010. Five silos and three water towers, Australia Post limited edition stamps in 2018, a mural for the World's 50 Best, a 100m UN commission in Ulaanbaatar, collabs with Marvel, Nike and Puma - and that's before you get to "Heesco Town" in Yarram, a project that turned a small Victorian town into a 27-mural destination and picked up a Best Street Art Trail award along the way.

Beyond the walls, he's President of Lantuun Dohio Australia, an ACNC-registered charity working to eradicate child trafficking and abuse in Mongolia, is a Doug Moran National Portrait Prize finalist, Footscray Art Prize winner, and subject of a 2018 documentary “Heesco - Homeland, Mongolia” by filmmaker Kevin Flores.
